Scam Alert

Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) has been made aware that a spoofing campaign claiming to be “Bright Energy” is making phone calls promising free or nearly free solar panels through a federal tax credit and requesting the money for installation up front.

How the scam works - Someone contacts you through email, phone or social media pretending to be a solar company salesperson. The "representative" has a special offer: they can install solar panels on your home for a very low cost – or even free. They claim this amazing deal is only available for a limited time, so you must act now!

This is not MRES and is not associated with Bright Energy Solutions. MRES does not sell or install solar systems on homes or businesses through Bright Energy Solutions. This is a scam. Hang up and report the scam to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. You may also wish to report the scam to your state attorney general’s office.
